You will find some of the best beaches in the world in Perth Western Australia
Perth and Fremantle are situated on the Indian Ocean and have some of Australia’s finest beaches. There is literally mile after mile of beautiful coast line, often deserted, and within easy reach of the city. These pristine swimming beaches have pleasant temperate waters. Surfing, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving and fishing are just some of the activities you can enjoy.
Popular beaches are Cottesloe, North Cottesloe, City Beach and Scarborough.
Buses run from outside Sullivans to both Cottesloe and North Cottesloe, about a 20 minute journey.
Anytime is a good time to experience the W.A. coastline. It’s not only the beaches that make this area popular, there are some lovely cafés and divine restaurants. Sorrento Quay at the Hillary’s Boat Harbour has many little shops to browse through, and there are also plenty of dining options. The Harbour also houses, Aqua (an indoor Marine Park) which is open 7 days a week. Whale watching is also a favourite pastime from August to November along the coast line. Boat Charter companies offer full and half day trips. A couple of other beaches you may want to try are Waterman’s Bay, North Beach ,Hamersley, Mettams Pool – small bays providing very safe reef-protected areas for families. Mettams Pool is wonderful for snorkeling. Trigg Beach – an excellent surf beach. Ideal for body surfing.
